Wedding Gift To Sew: Heart Oven Mitt & Potholder
Oven mitts and potholders are practical items almost everyone could use. And they make a great set for newlyweds, who may be moving in together and curating items for their new home.
Depending on the couple, and their style, you may or may not want to add the hearts. You could also choose a different applique, such as two love birds.
If you have an embroidery machine, you may monogram the set with the couple’s initials or last name, or handstitch them on.
You can also choose different fabric colors or prints to suit the couple’s tastes.
These are both beginner-friendly sewing projects that you should be able to complete in a few hours.
I have also linked to different oven mitt and potholder patterns, if you’re an experienced sewist.
